check out they might be giants “Bed Bed Bed” a children’s book and cd. also, look into “The Wilco Book” which is a cd and “photo book.”
but best of all, and unfortunately hardest to find, is by a little known ’80s Christian rock band called Daniel Amos. the album is actually four albums, which together make “The Alarma Chronicles.” the really cool thing is that you can get them (if you can find it) with a 170-page book which includes a short-story and commentary by the artists. but it’s out of print and really hard to find.
good luck with this stuff, and i agree that this is what really good music should be like…
